Meet John Horvat, II, Aug. 9 and 10 in Miami

1207099_flagCHANDLER, AZ (July 24, 2014) – The nation is on course for self-destruction as a result of ignoring our God-given moral compass, which ultimately keeps everything in balance, according to John Horvat II, author of Return to Order: From a Frenzied Economy to an Organic Christian Society —Where We’ve Been, How We Got Here, and Where We Need to Go. Horvat, who is an internationally followed author and scholar, is sparking national discussion among Catholics who are eagerly tuning in to his messages about the need to return to faith and family in an age of exploding technological advances and unhinged economies.

In August there will be an opportunity to meet Horvat while he visits the Miami area. On August 10,  he will deliver his much lauded presentation “Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother: The Key to Bringing America Back to Order,” at 2 p.m. at the Marriott Courtyard located at 2051 South Le Jeune Rd., which is also in Coral Gables. The Miami area has more than 100 Catholic churches and more than 800,000 Catholics according to the Archdiocese.

“Our blind embrace of an economy driven by the pursuit of instant gratification, regardless of the consequences, is unsustainable and has thrown us into a state of socioeconomic chaos,” says Horvat.

In his book, Horvat draws from his rich Christian past to explain the correlation between the economy, faith and moral values. Without relying solely on statistics and economic indicators, he shows how society’s obsession for a secular, materialistic culture is causing social and psychological emptiness and economic ruin.

Return to Order ranked #1 on Amazon/Kindle in four countries in December and has sold 25,000 copies to date. It has received dozens of endorsements from scholars, clergy, politicians and other leading American and European figures.

Return to Order provides an interesting analysis of how the United States has departed from the spiritual, cultural and economic precepts that supported the founding and the early history of our republic. It also sets forth valuable recommendations for restoring our society to its foundation of ordered liberty and traditional values,” said the Honorable Edwin Meese III, former U.S. Attorney General.

In addition to Return to Order, Horvat is the author of hundreds of articles, some of which have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, FOX News, The Christian Post, The Washington Times, ABC News and C-SPAN. Horvat’s writing has been compared to that of Richard Weaver and Russell Kirk, both major conservative intellectuals.

Return to Order offers a synthesis of Catholicism’s invaluable contribution to the building of a humane and ordered society in which the human person can flourish,”saidMost Reverend Donald J. Hying, Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Horvat will be leading discussions and participating in book signings at more than Subscription11two-dozen cities in the U.S. during 2014. For information on events, to request him as a speaker, or to purchase copies of the book, call 855-861-8420 or visit www.ReturnToOrder.org.
