New York City’s 2027 budget allocates over $6 million to pro-homosexual causes and organizations – including $40,000 for “drag queen story hours” for children and $1 million to a group with a “transgender” housing program! Mayor Zohran Mamdani signed off on the new spending bill at the beginning of this month, and it includes a solid $6.4 million dollars for pro-homosexual and transgender issues. According to reports:
“The City Council [of New York City] earmarked $7 million for ‘trans equity’ programs and drag story hours as part of a massive $126 billion spending plan approved Tuesday [June 30].
“The taxpayer money will go to programs and services ‘to help empower the transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) community,’ the council members wrote in the adopted expense budget which was approved by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.”

The same source lists the following items as part of the budget $6.4 million budget:
- A whopping $1 million to Destiny Tomorrow, a Bronx homosexual group with the ‘first-ever transitional housing program for transgender New Yorkers.’
- $705,000 to Gay Men’s Health Crisis
- $500,000 to Trans Formative Schools, Inc.
- $305,000 to Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center
- $250,000 to Parents of Lesbians and Gay Men
- $200,000 to Visiting Nurse Service of New York Home Care II, Gender Affirmation Program
- $150,000 Gays and Lesbians living in a Transgender Society
- $150,000 to the New York Transgender Advocacy Group
- $105,000 to Transit Equity Health Care/Planned Parenthood
“Gender affirmation” usually means to support someone’s decision of thinking they are the opposite sex. “Transitional housing” means giving housing and support for gender-confused individuals. It may even include housing for children who run away from home seeking “transition therapy” against their parents’ wishes.
The role of the state is to help society function peacefully and create conditions that help the individual live an upright and honest life. It has nothing to do with promoting programs the undermine the
good of society.
And the homosexual and “transgender” lifestyle is a direct affront against God and His plan for creation, and mocks God’s plan for the individual. This is a step toward state approval for vice. We must do everything we can to make sure society rejects the advance of sin into society.
