Protest blasphemous “woman” Trinity at Catholic parish

protest-blasphemous-representation-trinity-002

A Catholic parish in the archdiocese of Washington recently published a bulletin featuring the Holy Trinity depicted as women!

The image appeared in the bulletins for the Jesuit-run churches Saint Joseph and Saint Therese, and depicted an icon of the “Trinity” as seen by Abraham in the Old Testament. But instead of the usual depiction as three male angels at a table, there are three women with haloes and wings encircling a table with a rainbow-colored cloth, a clear reference to homosexual sin. According to reports:

“A Jesuit-run Catholic parish marked Holy Trinity Sunday by publishing a blasphemous icon depicting the Blessed Trinity as women that included an LGBT ‘Pride’ flag.

“The first page of the parish bulletin for St. Joseph and St. Therese churches, dated June 15, Holy Trinity Sunday, featured a mockery of Andrei Rublev’s 15th-century Holy Trinity icon depicting three women sitting by a ‘Pride’ flag. The icon was created by the same artist who made the infamous icon depicting George Floyd as Jesus Christ.”

To make matters worse, the bulletin also includes invitations to other “pride” (i.e., pro-homosexual) events for the parishes. This is a terrible offense against the Person of God, and an illusion to unnatural vice. We must not stand by silently while God is mocked by those who should be promoting Truth and Virtue.

Please sign our petition, asking that the pastors of Saint Joseph and Saint Therese parishes apologize for this blasphemy and stop promoting sinful lifestyles.

Rev. Robert McElroy, Cardinal-Archbishop of Washington

I, the undersigned, offer protest and reparation for the blasphemous image on the shared bulletin of the parishes of Saint Joseph and Saint Therese, published on June 15, 2025 (Trinity Sunday).

This image, featured on the front page of the bulletin, featured a mockery of the icon of the Holy Trinity, replacing the three figures with women, and even went so far as to include a rainbow cloth atop a table, a clear reference to homosexual sin.

This is an outrage against the nature of God by misrepresenting His nature, and implying His support for unnatural vice.

I prayerfully and earnestly urge you to remove this depiction from your records, apologize for the offense, and make reparation for promoting this sinful, unnatural vice.

Sincerely and earnestly,

[name]
