Netflix released a series, “Too Much”, which featured an abortion scene. The director of the film, Lena Dunham, admitted in an interview before the film’s release that her desire is to “normalize” abortion with this series, and she even affirmed that she “consulted” with Planned Parenthood to help with her storyline. According to reports:
“Infamous pro-abortion activist Lena Dunham is back on television with her new rom-com Too Much (streaming on Netflix), and, unsurprisingly, the series is basically a not-so-subtle ad for abortion. In fact, Dunham openly admitted to consulting with abortion giant Planned Parenthood on the show and told The Hollywood Reporter (THR) she’s on a mission to ‘normalize’ abortion.”

The THR interview itself shows the film’s goals. Dunham says:
“As an artist, I’m proud… that we can get to be part of showing people all over the world a healthy woman making a super self-actualized choice to get reproductive care [i.e., an abortion] [from] a really true, loving abortion provider, because those [abortionists] are heroes…”

Further on she says:
“It was also important to me to show our support for Planned Parenthood…[W]hat we can do is normalize very important health procedures like abortion for our audience and especially let young people [sic] who may be watching and want to get care at Planned Parenthood know what a loving, safe place it is.” (Ibid)
This is one more attempt to make abortion “normal.” We need to do what we can to make society understand the horror of abortion. And entertainment industries, like Netflix, must be held accountable for promoting the normalization of this immorality.
