On September 21, Return to Order author John Horvat gave a presentation to the Indianapolis Chapter of Legatus.

After the Rosary and Mass at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, a delightful dinner event was held at the nearby Meridian Hills Country Club. Mr. Horvat presented the three characteristics of practicing the faith while doing business. The first was a passion for justice, while the second was the practice of charity. Finally, the speaker highlighted the need for those in business to carry the daily and big crosses that come when engaged in commerce. This is especially hard in a world that avoids suffering at all costs.

The author recalled the words of TFP founder Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, who observed that the currency of a Christian civilization is not dollars or pounds but suffering. With that currency, everything becomes possible. Without it, everything falls apart. There is so much polarization today because people do not want to suffer.

After questions and answers, the author stayed to sign Return to Order books to those who wished.
