On January 14, Return to Order author John Horvat delivered a talk at Holy Innocents Catholic Church and Shrine in downtown New York City. The event was part of the parish lecture series titled “The Crisis in the Church & Society and How Sacred Tradition Responds.” The parish’s two Knight of Columbus chapters (Latin Mass and New Mass) sponsored the evening talk and provided refreshments.
The topic is more timely than ever. Mr. Horvat chose to take a more fundamental approach that deals with the four tools that everyone has at their disposal to fight the culture and win. He spoke about the need to say no to a hostile culture and not take a “Benedict Option” to avoid the fight. He also stressed the importance of supernatural life and grace as a powerhouse for any return to order.
After the talk, the author conversed with attendees and signed copies of his book Return to Order: From a Frenzied Economy to an Organic Christian Society—Where We’ve Been, How We Got Here, and Where We Need to Go. People also bought copies of the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution by Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira.
